Reduce, reuse, recycle at the Library. The library accepts paper, eyeglasses, cell phones and inkjet cartridges for recycling.
Recycle paper, newspaper, magazines and mail
Bring your unwanted paper, newspapers, magazines and mail to the Waukegan Public Library for recycling. The recycling containers are located in the rear parking lot of the library at the corner of Clayton Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, and are accessible 24/7, even when the Library is closed.
Every ton of paper that’s recovered for recycling saves: 6,953 gallons of water, 587 pounds of air pollution, 3.06 cubic yards of landfill space, 4077 kilowatt hours of energy and 17 trees! For more information on acceptable types of papers click here.
