The Friends of the Waukegan Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, voluntary organization of community members committed to promoting and sustaining the collection, programs, and services of the Waukegan Public Library. The Friends manage the Library’s Book Sale and use the money they raise to support many activities and programs, like the summer Courtyard Concerts series, books and materials for the Children’s Department, special events, and more.
The Friends of the Waukegan Public Library are currently accepting donations of books, audiobooks, and DVDs. Your donations of good quality items will help make the next sale a success and allow the Friends to continue supporting the Library’s work throughout the year.
Donated items are sold by the Friends in sales and on Amazon.com. The money earned through these sales is used to fund various library programming and events such as the concert series. Inquire at the front desk on the main floor about making a donation to the Friends of the Waukegan Public Library.
