Giving

The Waukegan Public Library is a tax-supported nonprofit organization. Taxes make a good library, donations make it possible to be a great library. Here are four ways to give back to your library and community.

Give to the Waukegan Public Library Foundation

A monetary gift to the library allows the library to build and offer special projects designed to meet community needs such as the Early Learning Center and Literacy Suite. Donations can be made to honor a special occasion or cherished memory. Sponsorship opportunities to offset program costs are also available. All contributions are tax-deductible. Gifts may be made to the Waukegan Public Library Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Learn more about the Foundation here, or click below to make your gift today.

Donate Books, Audio Visual and Magazines

The Friends of the Waukegan Public Library accept donations of gently used books, magazines less than 6 months old, CDs, and DVDs to resell in the library in their Used Book Sale area.
