Join us for Color Our World, our all-ages Summer Reading Program running from May 27 through August 10. This summer, engage with the library through fun reading challenges designed for all age groups. Participants can earn exciting prizes and free books just by reading and completing activities. Reading Log: Summer Reading Log English
Summer Reading Kick-Off Party: All Ages, Sun., 6/1, 2-4pm
Celebrate the start of summer with an interactive animal show from the Traveling World of Reptiles (2-3 pm; sponsored by the Friends of the Waukegan Public Library), community art projects, snacks, dance party, selfie station, and more. This program will be held outdoors and moved inside in case of inclement weather.
DIY Tie Dye: All Ages, Fri., 7/18, 3-5pm
Bring your own items to tie dye and we will supply the dye and tips to make a great creation. A limited supply of library branded items will be available first-come, first-served as well. This program will be held outdoors and rescheduled in case of inclement weather.
Summer Reading Big Bash: All Ages, Thurs., 8/7, 3-5pm
Wrap up a summer of great reads with this colorful celebration! Join us for a bouncy house, cool crafts, tasty snacks, and school supplies for kids to take home. Don’t miss this last chance to color your world. This program will be held outdoors and moved inside in case of inclement weather.
