Collections and Services

As of 2013, Waukegan Public Library’s collection includes more than  185,000 books, 16,000 DVDs, and 13,000 CDs, as well as video games, Blu-ray discs, magazines, and other materials. To technically enhance the collection, since 2011, the Library made available more than 29,000 downloadable eBooks. Here is a quick look at the library’s resources:

Hinkston Park Branch

Collections and Services

The Waukegan Park District took a literal approach to promoting a healthy mind and body—or should we say literary. The Waukegan Park District is one of the few park districts in the country to incorporate a public library into their facility. Unlike many other agencies, the Library was included in the planning stages allowing for optimal use of the space provided.

  • Computers and access to the Internet: 3 desktop computers
  • 150 audiobooks
  • Over 2,500 books for children and adults including fiction and nonfiction

  • Dropbox for easy returns
  • Place holds and have items delivered for pickup at the branch
