The park district took a literal approach to promoting a healthy mind and body--or should we say literary. The Waukegan Park District is one of the few park districts in the country to incorporate a public library into their facility. Unlike many other agencies, the library was included in the planning stages allowing for optimal use of the space provided.

Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Computers and access to the Internet: Including a laptop with wireless access to the Internet and 3 desktop computers
150 Audio books as well as access to 1000 electronic audio books for downloading
Over 2,500 books for children and adults including fiction and non-fiction
400 DVDs and CDs
Newspapers and Magazines
A Librarian to assist with research and information
Drop Box for easy returns
Place holds and have items delivered for pick-up at the branch
