Janice Del Negro
Performing a selection from Passion and Poison: Tales of Shape-Shifters, Ghosts, and Spirited Women, by Janice Del Negro
Del Negro has published several award-winning collections of her own original stories. She is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School at Dominican University, where she teaches storytelling and literature. Her specialties include retelling traditional folktales and transformation stories, with a emphasis on ghosts and women. A seasoned performer, she’s taken the stage as featured storyteller at such prestigious venues as the National Storytelling Festival, the Bay Area Storytelling Festival, and the Illinois Storytelling Festival.

Jim May
Performing “The Bottled Imp” by Robert Louis Stevenson
Chicago Emmy Award-winning May has regaled over one million children and families worldwide with his heartwarming folk tales, myths, legends and ghost stories. He co-founded the Illinois Storytelling Festival, and holds the Circle of Excellence Award for storytelling. May is the author of two books, including The Farm on Nippersink Creek, which won the “Best Book” Award from the Public Library Association.
