There are two ways to renew your items from the convenience of home:

Renew by Telephone
To renew your items by phone please call 847-623-2041 ext. 239 during library hours. You must have your library card number ready and all barcodes for the items you want to renew. Using this system you may:
Renew checked out items *
Get a list of items that are currently checked out to you
Check for overdue fines
* Please Note: You can renew your loan even after its due date. However, you will not be able to renew anything if you have a fine of $10.00 or more. Renewing will not waive a fine that has already occurred.
Placing Holds
Locate the desired item in the catalog. Click “Request” which is located either below the title, or just near the top, just below the gray line. You will be prompted to enter your name and library card number, and select the location to pick up your hold. The system will tell you if your request has been successful or not. When the item is ready, the library will notify you by e-mail notification, a phone call or a card in the mail, depending on what you have selected in your Personal Information.
E-mail notifications
If you prefer to be notified about requests or overdue items via E-mail, you may change your preferences through My Card, or, from the main catalog page, click on My Card, follow the prompts and then click on “Modify Personal Info.”
