Summer ’08 Reading Clubs: Read Your Way to Paradise
June 11 - August 11, 2008
For children, teens & adults

Gas Prices have you down? Take a Reading Road Trip this summer by joining a summer reading club and you can win prizes that includes $25 gas cards and an overnight stay at KeyLime Cove for a family of four! Reading clubs for all ages run June 11-August 11. Drop by the library, branch or bookmobile to join!

Recycle at the Library & help build the Early Learning Center

Donate your old cell phones, inkjet cartridges, digital cameras, MP3 players, or handheld game systems while helping save the environ- ment from toxic waste! Drop off your unwanted “technology” at the Library, Branch at Hinkston Park Field House, or on the Bookmobile. (Please do not include chargers or earpieces. They can be recycled locally.)

Recycle your paper at the library:
The money raised will help fund The Early Learning Center. Deposit your paper in the dumpster behind the library at the corner of Martin Luther King Dr. and Clayton St.!

Monkey Mondays in July
Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
Recommended for children 3-7 years and their families

Monkey around the library every Monday night with movies, games, stories, music, and holiday celebrations--something new each week.

July 7 - Be Part of a Story! Children will act out the stories in this interactive program.
July 14 - Beach Crafts
July 21 - Fun & Games
July 28 - Movie: The Wild, (Rated G; 94 minutes)



United Way Kindergarten Camp
Thursday, July 10, 17, and 24—6:30-7:30 p.m.
This program is for children ages 3-5 and their caregiver.


Children will work on basic skills such as letter recognition and counting. Please sign up for this program in the children’s department or by calling 847-623-2041 ext. 280.
