SUMMER 2010

Summer Reading Club: "Avoid Extinction…READ!"
June 1 - August 1

Turn in an entry form at the library to join the Summer Reading Club and choose a prize from the Treasure Chest!

Schools with the most reading club participants win a storytelling assembly in Fall 2010!

Grand Prizes Include:
- 8 Gigabyte I-Pod Touch MP3 player
- Four tickets to a Chicago Fire Game

Preschool Gardening Club
Tuesdays, June 15 to August 17: 11-11:30 a.m.

Children will learn from experienced green thumbs how to plant and care for a vegetable garden. We'll meet at the library except for field trip days, when we visit gardens around Lake County for hands-on experience. Please meet at these gardens on dates specified:

United Way Early Learning Club

This club helps children ages 3-5 develop important pre-literacy skills such as letter recognition and counting. Please register early! Limit: 20 children and their caregivers.

Dig the Dinosaurs (spanish language elements included)
For kids ages 6-7. Registration required. Limit: 15 children and their caregivers.

Learn more about the amazing creatures that ruled our earth 200 million years ago!

Dig the Dinosaurs (ELC)
Dinosaurs are visiting the ELC, and so should you. There are dinosaur replicas, dinosaur skeletons, dinosaur fossils, dinosaur sounds, dinosaur facts, and lots more to see! On display for a full year!





Macy’s Museum Adventure Pass Program
Beginning September 1, 2009

Waukegan Public Library card holders can receive free admission to 17 exciting museums and cultural institutions throughout the Chicago area. They are available on a first come, first served basis. One Museum Adventure Pass may be checked out per person, per loan period.
