DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Summer Reading Club
The Waukegan Public Library is “going to the dogs” this summer with our summer reading club for kids. There will be dogs at programs, dogs to read to, dog walks and dogs to win (stuffed animals). Begins June 15.

Paws to Read
Tuesdays, June 16, June 30, July 14 & July 28 at 11 a.m.
Wednesdays, June 24, July 8 & July 22 at 6:30 p.m.
For children in grades 1-5

Studies show that children’s ability to read improves when they read out loud…and improves even more when they read to a dog—that is very accepting! Space is limited so please register in advance for your 15 minute time slot by calling the Children’s Department at 847-623-2041 ext. 280. Dogs provided by Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy, Inc., a not-for-profit organization.
