Tractors, chickens, and cows, oh my! Children of all ages will have fun on the farm at the Waukegan Public Library’s new Early Learning Center exhibit, “Oink, Baa, Moo: Farm Fun”, funded exclusively by North Shore Gas. The library will unveil the exhibit, featuring 2,200 square-feet of displays and interactive learning centers that include a barn slide, apple orchard, chicken coop, and life-sized milking cow, at a grand opening reception, Dec. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is open to the public, free of charge, and includes entertainment and refreshments.

Children ages 8 to 14 are invited to sign up for computer classes to learn basic computer skills which include word processing, spreadsheets, and video uploading. Classes are in session for four consecutive Sundays, December 2, 9, 16, & 23 from 2-4 pm. For more information contact David Villalobos at 847-623-2041 x 234. Classes funded by Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
