Tutors:

We have trained volunteer tutors available to help adults improve their basic skills.  A tutor will meet with you weekly, at the library, to help you reach your reading, writing or math goals. There is no cost to meet with a tutor. If you would like a tutor, please call 847-623-2041, ext 222 or ext 225.

Literacy Classes:

We have classes, taught by teachers from the College of Lake County, for basic reading, writing and math. You must not have a high school diploma or a GED. There is no cost for the classes. If you would like to enroll in a class, please call the College of Lake County at 847-543-2445.

ESL Literacy Classes:

For information on ESL classes, at other locations in Waukegan, please call the College of Lake County at 847-543-2445. There is no cost for these classes.

Family Literacy Classes:

The classes are taught by College of Lake County Instructors. The children learn through stories, music and activities, while their parents are in the classroom next door. There is no cost for the classes.

We offer classes for adults and their children, age 0 – 6 years, for basic reading, writing and math or GED. You must not have a high school diploma or a GED and the child must attend with the parent. If you would like to enroll in a class, please call 847-623-2041, ext 223.

We also offer classes, in English, for adult ESL learners and their children, age 0 – 6 years. . If you would like to enroll in a class, please call the College of Lake County at 847-543-2591. (habla espanol)
