June 22 - Brent Mitchell Trio

Imagine that Jimmie Hendrix meets Hank Williams at Tom Waits’ house which (in this imagined scene) is along the Rio Grande on the Texas border. Lyle Lovett and Steve Earle come over, bringing Bruce Springsteen and Ralph Stanley along with them and they all write some songs together and play ‘em till the sun comes up.  That is to say, this music is like lots of music you’ve heard before, and is also not much like anything you’ve ever heard before, unless perhaps you’re from Austin, Texas. Even then you’ll find it to be pretty unique.
