August 17 - Last Dance Band

The “Last Dance Band” has been in existence for over 40 years. The band has an age mix that ranges from 80+ to the 30’s. The members come from the greater Chicago area and southern Wisconsin.  The band’s full complement is 16 members (5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and 3 rhythm). Several band members also serve as vocalists.

The “Last Dance Band” has an extensive music library and features the arrangements of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Les Elgart, and others. The music types range from ballads and “up-tunes” to Latin, waltzes, polkas, and soft rock.
