Tools for Teachers
From free Bus to Us field trips to kindergarten book bags delivered to your classroom to borrowing privileges for District 60 teachers who live out of state, the Library is committed to helping teachers foster the love of reading in their students.

School Bookmobile
The Library’s School Bookmobile is dedicated to serving Waukegan Public School Dictrict 60 children in grades 1-3.

Home Delivery
The Library’s Home Delivery service provides library materials to Waukegan residents who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term physical illness or disability.

Our friendly reference staff is available to assist you at any time during library hours. Ask a librarian to place a hold on an item, recommend a good book, or assist you in your research.

Meeting Room
The Ray Bradbury Meeting Room seats up to 90 people and can be reserved by nonprofit organizations for meetings that are open to the public.

Museum Adventure Pass
Visit the Library, then visit an area museum for free! Quantities of passes are limited and given on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you want to borrow an item that is already checked out or that the Waukegan Public Library doesn’t own, the Library can borrow it from another library through LINKin. You can access LINKin through the online catalog.

Fax Service
The Library’s self-service fax machine is available every hour the Library is open. Patrons can send both domestic and international faxes using a credit or debit card ONLY. The Library is unable to receive faxes on your behalf.

Scan Station
Use the Library’s scan station for free! Scanned documents can be saved on a USB drive, emailed, or printed in color or black & white (standard printing rates apply). Documents can be saved in a variety of file formats including PDF, Printable PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and Microsoft Word.

Notary Service
Several Library staff members are also Notaries Public. If you need a document notarized, visit any service desk at the Library and a notary will certify your document for free.

Voter Registration
If you are at least 18 years of age and have a current photo ID, you can register to vote at any time during Library hours. You will receive your voter’s registration card in the mail within two weeks from the date you register.

Tax Forms
During tax season, you can pick up most federal and Illinois tax forms at a tax station near the entrance. If you need a form that is not supplied at the tax station, or if you need a tax form outside of tax season, visit the Reference Desk and one of the Library’s helpful staff will print it for you.

The Library offers computers with internet access, Wi-Fi for those with laptops or mobile devices, remote printing services and a mobile app
