Who can enroll in the classes?
Classes are open to any adult, regardless of residency, and are filled on a first come, first served basis.
How much do the classes cost?
Classes are free.
When do the classes meet?
Classes occur Sundays at 1:30pm and Tuesdays at 5:00pm. Check our calendar.
How long are the classes?
Classes are four sessions, once per week for two and a half hours.
Do I need to understand English to take the class?
Classes are available in either English or Spanish.
How do I sign up for the classes?
Registration is required and on a first come, first served basis. Individuals may register in person at the reference desk or by calling the library 847-623-2041, ext 251 for English classes or 847-623-2041, ext. 222 for Spanish classes.
What subjects are covered?
The classes cover the following:
- definition of the internet
- internet navigation
- internet search
- internet safety and security
How many classes do I have to attend?
Participants must attend all four classes to complete the course. Classes are instructor led with discussions, demonstrations, hands-on activities and personal practice time
Will I get a certificate?
You will receive a certificate when you complete all four sessions.
Can my child attend the classes?
Classes are for adults only. Children are not allowed in the computer labs while instruction is being offered.
